NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT:
PFAFF PARK LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS

Sealed bids will be opened and publicly read at the City of Central Point, City Hall, 140 South 3rd Street, Central Point, OR 97502 at 2:00 PST on February 20, 2024, for the above referenced project. Bids must be submitted to Matt Samitore, Parks and Public Works Director, at the same address prior to 2:00 PM PST on the above date. Subcontractor Disclosure forms must be submitted prior to 4:00 PM PST on the same date.
Bidders must be prequalified in order to be eligible for award. Pre-qualification may be with the City of Central Point, City of Medford, or the Oregon Department of Transportation. If the bidder is disqualified in any of these jurisdictions, the bidder will be ineligible for this contract.
Award of contract will not be final until the later of: 1) three (3) business days after the City of Central Point announces Notice of Intent to Award; or 2) the City of Central Point provides a written response to each timely protest, denying the protest and affirming the award.
On all projects, work performed by the Contractor’s own organization must be at least 30% of the awarded contract amount.

COST ESTIMATE: $150,000
This project consists of replacement of the existing flagpole and electrical and lighting improvements at Robert J. Pfaff Park. This work will include: demolition work to remove existing light poles and a flagpole; construction of a new flagpole; lighting improvements including installation of flagpole lighting, pathway light poles, perimeter light poles, and the addition of pole heads to the existing tennis court lights; electrical improvements including replacement of an overheard electrical service line with a new underground line, transformer vault, breaker panels and receptacles, power pedestals to supply power for food carts and other vendors, electrical lines and handholes throughout the site. This is a City funded project.
Work shall begin no earlier than February 26, 2024, and must be completed by June 1, 2024. Please direct all questions to Greg Graves, Project Manager at 541-423-1022

No bid will be received or considered by the City of Central Point unless bidder signs the bid statement.
The contract is for public work subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279.870. This project is subject to Oregon prevailing wage rates.
The City of Central Point may reject any bid not in compliance with all public bidding procedures and requirements and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding by the City of Central Point that it is in the public interest to do so.
