The City tries to have a street sweeper running 4 days a week year round with a second sweeper running during the autumn months of October thru December to keep up with the falling leaves. This means that all City streets are swept at least every other week to remove dirt, debris and other pollutants and keeping it out of the stormwater system which flows directly into our creeks. This also helps keep our stormwater system from clogging and causing street flooding.

Keeping the roadway in front of your house free of large objects and obstructions is one way you can assist the street sweeping efforts. Other ways to help include keeping the trees and vegetation trimmed properly so the sweeper can clean up to the curb, keeping grass, leaves and yard debris out of the street, pulling trash cans in after trash day, and keeping basketball hoops back from the curb.
