Stakeholder Meeting/Open House

East Pine Streetscape Community & Stakeholder Workshop  

The Open House will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 140 South Third Street in Central Point, Oregon.

INVITATION

The City of Central Point would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a community workshop to discuss and participate in the East Pine Streetscape design project. The meeting will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

PURPOSE OF MEETING

In 2013, as part of an overall plan for the beatification and re-vitalization of the downtown, the City Council approved a Streetscape Concept Plan for the section of East Pine Street from the RR-Xing to 7th Street. At this time the City is prepared to proceed to the next design level and is seeking community input on the preparation of the final design for the East Pine Streetscape.  The City has recently completed a physical survey of the project area, which in conjunction with the previously developed Streetscape Concept Plan will provide a solid basis for discussion.

At the Community Workshop participants will be placed in groups and provided with a drawing of the Streetscape Concept Plan with the objective of noting design ideas and concerns regarding the design and ultimate implementation of the final plans. All community comments will be carried forward to the next design level and presented at a later meeting (to be scheduled).

Because the purpose of this Community Workshop is to participate in the design process it is important that the City provide adequate workspace and materials to accommodate all attendees.
