Agenda Summary
The Planning Commission will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 1, 2018 in the Council Chambers located at 140 South 3rd Street. The meeting agenda is provided in the attachment below and includes:
- Minutes. The Planning Commission will review the April 3, 2018 meeting minutes.
- Public appearances. This items provides the opportunity for any member of the public to address the Commission regarding an item that is not on the Agenda.
- Business. The only item of business is a Public Hearing for the Parks Element of the Central Point Comprehensive Plan. The Parks Element provides a policy framework to inform provision of parks and recreation amenities over a 20-year period (2018-2038), and is based on analysis of parks needs to achieve the community's vision as set forth in the Central Point Forward Strategic Plan and Parks Master Plan. Staff will present an overview of the Parks Element, which will be followed by the public hearing. Interested parties may provide written and/or oral testimony at this time. At the conclusion of the meeting the Planning Commission may continue the hearing and direct staff to make changes to the Parks Element or forward a recommendation the the City Council to approve the Parks Element with or without changes.
- Discussion. Staff will provide the Planning Commission with an update on the Housing Implementation Plan/Regional Housing Strategies currently being considered by the Citizen's Advisory Committee.
