Steven Maxwell went to war during Operation Iraqi Freedom and served alongside 507 Maintenace Battery Patriot Unit members. Eleven members of this battery were killed in action and 6 taken as prisonsers of war including 3 marines, who were attached to the unit during the Iraq invasion. Not a day goes by without their memories being shared in our house and so this tree is planted to grow in hopes that all can share in remembrance of these fallen heroes and those others who have served.
