The Central Point Planning team is dedicated to working with citizens, businesses, development interests and agencies to assure that growth aligns with the community’s preferred vision for its future. This preferred vision is articulated in the City of Central Point 2040 Strategic Plan as follows:
“To be a safe, family-friendly, livable community that cultivates its small town feel by managing growth and inspiring meaningful connections between people and places.”
The Planning team reviews and issues land use permits, prepares and implements long-range plans for the City. We are a resource and collaborative partner with property owners, businesses, and development professionals in creating places that are timeless and loved by the community. Our team provides staff support to City Council, Planning Commission, and Citizen's Advisory Committee.
