Don Jones Memorial Park – Inclusive Playground Design, Equipment & Surfacing Supply & Installation


The City of Central Point is soliciting sealed Proposals from qualified contractors to provide playground design, equipment supply, ADA-compliant safety surfacing, shade structures, and installation services for the Don Jones Memorial Park Playground located at 223 W. Vilas Road, Central Point, Oregon.

Estimated Budget: Up to $1,250,000.
 This is a City and grant-funded project.

Proposals submitted by mail or hand delivery must be in a sealed envelope plainly marked with: 1. the project name; 2. the proposal due date and time; 3. the Proposer’s name; and 4. the Contractor’s License Number. Proposals submitted by email must clearly identify the project name in the subject line and include the Proposer’s name and Contractor’s License Number in the submission. Proposals must be received no later than 4:00 PM (local time), May 7, 2026. Late proposals will not be accepted. Delivery of proposals by mail or courier is at the Proposer’s risk. Proposals will be publicly opened at 4:15 PM, May 7, 2026, at City Hall, 140 S. Third Street, Central Point, Oregon. An optional pre-proposal meeting will be held March 18, 2026

Award of the contract will not be final until the later of: 1. three business days after the City of Central Point announces Notice of Intent to Award; or, 2. the City of Central Point provides a written response to each timely protest, denying the protest and affirming the award. This procurement is issued pursuant to ORS 279B.060 (Competitive Sealed Proposals). The project is subject to ORS 279C.800–279C.870 (Prevailing Wage Law). Contractors must hold a valid Oregon CCB license. Award is subject to City Council approval. Proposers must be registered in OregonBuys prior to contract execution.

The City of Central Point reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive minor informalities.
