Urban and Community Forestry Survey

The City of Central Point has received a grant to guide the development of an Urban Forestry Master Plan, and we need your input to help shape this important work.

Our community’s trees affect our daily lives in many ways. They provide shade, improve air quality, support wildlife, and contribute to the character and beauty of our neighborhoods. The best way for the City to make thoughtful decisions about this important community resource is to hear directly from the people who live here.

We encourage all Central Point residents to complete our short, anonymous community survey. It takes about five minutes and can be accessed by scanning the QR code in this newsletter with your phone’s camera or by visiting the City’s website at centralpointoregon.gov. Your responses will help guide city decisions and set priorities for future tree planting, care, and services.

In addition to the survey, residents are invited to participate in upcoming community events connected to this effort. Two free, bilingual community workshops will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Friday, April 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. These family-friendly gatherings will offer a relaxed and engaging way to connect with neighbors, learn more about the project, ask questions, share ideas, and enjoy activities and refreshments.

We also invite you to join a community tree-planting event during Arbor Month on Saturday, April 25 (Earth Day), from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This hands-on event is open to people of all ages and abilities and provides a meaningful way to contribute to the future of Central Point.

Please take the survey, share your perspective, and join us at these events as we work together to grow a healthier, greener, and more connected community. Click on the link below to take the survey:
