The Adopt-A-Street Program is a partnership between the City of Central Point and the residents to create a cleaner, more pleasant environment for everyone that lives, works, or visits the city. Our program began in 2010 and currently has over 16 miles of streets adopted. There are streets still available to be adopted.
In exchange for a commitment of organizing litter pickup every 3 months, signs will be installed on each end of your adopted street to display the name of your group and to honor your community service. Volunteers are provided with all the safety equipment needed and the City will pick up the trash bags when you are done.
To adopt a street, follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Find the street you would like to adopt from the Current Streets Available link below and fill out our application, call 541-423-1021, or email cyndi.weeks@centralpointoregon.gov.
If the street you are interested in is not on the list, contact us to see if it has already been adopted or if we can add it to our list.
Step 2:
Appoint a group representative to meet with the Adopt-A-Street coordinator to go over the safety rules, sign the contract, and organize a date for your first cleanup.
Step 3:
Contact us a few days before each cleanup to schedule the pickup and return of the safety equipment.
