The Central Point Police Department has one full-time Community Service Officer. CSO Ron Barnett is responsible for assisting police personnel with non-sworn activities along with city code enforcement.

CSO Barnett performs duties such as:

• Assist with traffic control

• Responds to non-emergency misdemeanor crimes

• Handles found property reports

• Assists with fleet maintenance

• Enforces code enforcement violations

• Handles abandon vehicles

• Other duties as assigned.
