Traffic School

Central Point does allow some violations to be taken care of by attending traffic school.

You are eligible for traffic school if;

1. You have had a clean driving record for three years or more.

2. You would like to keep your driving record clear.

3. You have not attended a traffic school before, anywhere, in the past three years.

4. You are under 18 and you received a class A, B, or C moving violation.

5. You are pleading guilty or no contest to the citation.

You are NOT eligible for traffic school if;

1. You are charged with a traffic violation in a school zone.

2. You are charged with a traffic violation in a construction zone.

3. You are charged with a violation because of an accident.

4. You are charged with a traffic crime.

5. You have been convicted of a traffic violation/crime within three years.

6. You have attended a traffic school within the past three years.

7. You have been issued a citation for more than one moving violation.

Check with the Municipal Court Clerk to see about your eligibility if you are interested. Traffic school is required for persons under 18. You have 90 days to attend a class after the application has been filed. If you fail to complete the school within 90 days, all fees will be applied and a conviction will be entered on your DMV record.
