The Chantwells perform dance music, plain and simple.  Our band puts on a high energy performance, that is not too loud, but will be something that your whole family (including children and granparents) will enjoy. If you like salsa music and enjoy dancing, you will not want to miss our amazing blend of Calypso and Caribbean music!

What comes to mind when you think of calyso?  Perhaps "Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid or the song "Day-o", but that is not what the true calypso of Trinidad and Tobago is.

So just what IS "true" calypso?  It is full of double entendre, originally written as folk music as a political statement, but it turned out that the music was up beat and danceable. With the lyrics seemingly getting lost to the groovy music, Chantuelles or the roving troubadours who wrote and sang (and indeed invented) this music wanted more attention to be paid to their words by writing memorable lyrics.  The Chantwells Website

Husk is an upbeat dance band that plays a mix of country and rock. Expect to hear hits from Dwight Yoakam, George Strait and Vince Gill, mixed in with hits by Tom Petty, Steve Miller, and Neil Young. And don’t be surprised if they play some western swing by Bob Wills and some classic country by Johnny Cash...and then something by the Beatles and Journey...MIX!

As quoted by a local venue, “It’s not easy to appeal to the wide range of music tastes in today’s world, but Husk plays a unique mix of country and rock in a way that connects with many people. They keep the dance floor full and everyone has a great time.”

Please join us on July 18 as Husk with keep the park rock’in...and country’in!   Husk Website

Living on Dreams

(Jazz/Funk/Eclectric)

Despicable Me 2 Small

Our music can best be defined as a combination of intelligent melodic lyricism, technical ability, and creative vision, all in one group.

Drawing influences from Contemporary jazz, rock, blues, funk, world and classical music, the Living On Dreams Band has created a sound that is both unique and widely appealing.

In exploring broader musical concepts, the group pursues a primary interest in the World Fusion idiom of music, combining Jazz, Afro-Latin, Soul/blues and Rock into their performances.

Over the years Living On Dreams has always performed with the more “Jazzy” eclectic listener in mind. This has more often been achieved by incorporating the talents of professional musicians that add their own particular “forte” in terms of style, taste and or musical prowess. Rarely does one find the opportunity to blend a musical mix that brings excitement and sensuality to the bandstand. An eclectic evening of "Living On Dreams" is the way to rekindle your relationship with music.  Living On Dreams Website
