The Finance Department is responsible for the fiscal management of the City.  The Finance staff is dedicated to providing services for all citizens with the highest level of integrity and respect.  We diligently provide efficient and effective service for our citizens, ever mindful of our unanimous and number one stated goal of "best in class customer service".

The general functions of finance include budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, debt administration, investment portfolio management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payroll, purchasing, and utility billing.

Our success is measured in several ways: the Government Finance Officers Association award for our audit document, obtained by meeting national standards for excellence in financial reporting and internal control opinion of our independent auditors, maintenance of the City's credit ratings from Moody's and Standard & Poor's, and by meeting expectations and needs of our citizens in the most effective and efficient manner possible.

The City of Central Point has received the GFOA award for Financial Reporting for the last six years, and plans to continue receiving this award in the coming years.
