City of Central Point Multicultural Committee
The City of Central Point Multicultural Committee's mission is to create a focused assembly in hopes to organize, coordinate, research, make recommendations and manage actions regarding diverse cultural, economic and social issues within our community. Through these works the Multicultural Committee hopes to raise awareness, promote tolerance, create cohesion within its community and improve livability for all its citizens.

The City of Central Point Multicultural Committee provides a Multicultural Awareness Youth Award. This $500.00 scholarship Multicultural Awareness Youth Award is presently being offered to Crater High School students and will be awarded to the student who best promotes the dreams and/or goals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Applications will be accepted again towards the end of 2012.

Want to attend a meeting - The Multicultural Committee is currently meeting the second Monday, every other month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. These meetings are open to the public and community participation is encouraged.
